Yes, but only in summer. Brighton & Hove City Council runs a summer Park & Ride from the University of Sussex car park in Falmer (BN1 9RQ). It costs £6.50 for a car with up to 5 adults, runs from 9am to 9pm, and buses leave every 12 minutes for the city centre. In 2026, the University of Sussex listed the dates as weekends and the bank holiday from Saturday 25 July to Monday 31 August, using the number 25 bus.
The council's Park & Ride page also explains that Withdean is no longer advertised as a Park & Ride since parking charges were introduced, but you can still park at Withdean Sports Complex (Tongdean Lane, BN1 5JD) and take the number 27 bus into the city centre.
